My parents are retired and live in an apartment with an open view on the beach of Middelkerke. You wake up and have breakfast with a sea view. On a sunny day, they enjoy a beer or a bottle of wine on their own terrace. The dog has always fun running on the beach. The sandy strip is wide and some areas are covered with thousands of small shells and stones. The sea is calm and the breakwaters are visited by large seagulls. Sometimes little crabs and shrimp get trapped on the breakwater and they are an easy prey for the water birds. Do you want to wake up with that view?

ReplyDeleteMy dear Filip,
ReplyDeleteI am used here in Greece to such a view..
You know the sea nearby and seagulls coming close..
Not so much seashells but stones in all colors!

ReplyDeletethe dog looks so cute and is in heaven, enjoying everything and the shells.
ReplyDeleteTat would be nice. Exploring the shells and the birds would be fun too. Taking that gorgeous puppy for a walk would be nice as well. I don't like the architecture of the block of apartments though.

I have always dreamed of living at a place with such a view! The view and sounds are soothing and beautiful. Your parents are lucky! Seems like lots of fog, but to be expected when living by the ocean. Looks hard to walk on the beach with so many shells.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great view - but I wouldn't swap my dowunder holiday shack view in OZ for it!! There's nothing quite like the sound of the sea ...
