The billboard of Garfunkel's restaurant located on 429 Strand says it all: "Traditional Fish & Chips hand battered in London Pride beer". This is one of the dishes we would like to taste. Inside, the bar had a cool look with many beers and decorated with Union Jack banners. The beer from the draught is London Pride but next to it we see our own Belgium brand Stella Artois.
Here comes the food. We tried the Fish & Chips, a meat pie and fried shrimps. It is not the haut cuisine but we had to try a typical English snack. It was a nice culinary adventure.
