This hotel in Homer is located on the Spit on walking distance from the boardwalk shops and fresh fish restaurants. Our room was located directly on the beach. In good weather conditions this would be great but it was cold and raining. It is a rather old hotel but probably the best you can get on the spit. Most people are camping.
We liked the possibility to walk on the beach to a restaurant. There was however a lot of noise during the night from fisher boats leaving the port. Homer is the halibut fishing capital of the world, the main reason why most tourists come here.

ReplyDeleteIt's nice when the hotel has so spectacular scenery.
ReplyDeleteExquisite beach and the opposite shore is fantastic.
But the weather looks not the most beautiful, shade.
Hugs
I once stayed at a hotel literally steps away from the beach. That was very nice
ReplyDeleteThat's one thing we can't control is the weather. The room looks cosy. Can't say i like the food even though it probably tasted good.
ReplyDeleteThe view is fantastic, I am thinking about that cool and wet weather.
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos of a nice place to stay for a while.
ReplyDeleteYour meal looks like wonderful and delicious.

Looks good Filip, the wonderfully fresh fish would make the noisy nights more bearable oui :)
