Amsterdam is very divers and I would recommend all visitors to buy an “I am Amsterdam card” to visit this beautiful and interesting city. It gives you free access to a canal tour, public transport and many museums. For us this card is the best tool to explore this wonderful major city of Europe.
Amsterdam has so much to offer that anyone will find something they like. Some streets like the Damrak with its facades and shops are fabulous. There are possibilities to visit historical churches, see art in the streets, modern and old bridges across the canals, mansions, parks, museums, and a lot more. Don’t forget that Amsterdam has a reasonable size harbour with freight ships but also sailing boats and cruise passengers. The city lives with water and slowly sinks. You see it at some of the canal houses how they tilt to one side. Above all the Amsterdam ambiance and Dutch culture pulls tourists into a state of happiness.
Amsterdam is een stad met een heel divers aanbod en wij raden alle toeristen aan gebruik te maken van de “I Amsterdam City Card”. Het geeft u toegang tot een kanaalvaart, openbaar vervoer en vele musea. Naar onze mening is die kaart het beste middel om deze Europese grootstad te ontdekken.
Amsterdam heeft zoveel te bieden dat iedereen wel iets leuk vindt. Sommige straten zoals de Damrak met zijn woongevels en winkeltjes is gewoon ongelooflijk. Er zijn mogelijkheden historische kerken te bezoeken, kunst in de straten te zien, moderne en antieke bruggen over de kanalen, herenhuizen, musea, en veel meer. Vergeet niet dat Amsterdam een grote haven is met vrachtverkeer maar ook zeilboten en cruiseschepen. De stad leeft met water en zinkt zeer langzaam weg. Je kan het zien aan sommige kanaalhuisjes die echt scheef gaan staan. Boven alles de Amsterdamse sfeer en Nederlandse cultuur geeft de toeristen een vrolijk gevoel..
