Blog Report and Top Commentators of February – March 2016

We are pleased we could publish articles about seven countries during February and March. The countries we wrote about were the Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, France, USA, Andorra and Austria. It is the first time we write about Andorra, it was not yet on our list of place visited. A nice opportunity to visit a mini state like this.

This period was also significant for our dancing. After months of injuries and surgery, we could dance competitive again, securing our world ranking position. Even more rewarding, we danced in the city hall of Vienna, a unique location.

Like every blog report we end our article with collages of our most favorite pictures of this period. Thanks to all followers, visitors and people who posted comments. Below you find a list of the Top Commentators and their blogs.

We zijn blij dat we over zeven landen hebben gepubliceerd gedurende februari en maart. Deze landen waren Nederland, Spanje, Thailand, Frankrijk, de Verenigde Staten, Andorra en Oostenrijk. Het was de eerste keer dat we schreven over Andorra, een plaats die we nog nooit eerder bezochten. Een goede opportuniteit te schrijven over een mini staat.

Deze periode was ook belangrijk voor ons dansen. Na maanden van kwetsuren en operaties, konden we terug competitief dansen en onze wereld ranking positie waarborgen. Dansen in het stadhuis van Wenen gaf ons daar boven op nog meer voldoening. Een unieke locatie.

Blog Report and Top Commentators of December 2015 and January 2016

Last two months we wrote articles from The Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, USA, Belgium, France and Singapore. Currently we are travelling less for health reasons and most of the articles come from our backlog. With great reluctance we had to cancel thee international trips due to injuries and surgery. This will also impact our World Ranking position in the Standard Ballroom Senior I were we are placed number 77.

Kristel couldn’t dance competitive for months because of a broken pink and hand injury. Now, I had to undergo cheek bone surgery, extraction of my upper teeth and placement of implants. It will take a long time to recover and we cancelled again all our competitions for January and February.

Enough about medical issues now and look at it from the bright sight. Since we have travelled so much in the 2015, we still have enough material to keep our blog going and share interesting stories with you. We would like to thank our loyal visitors and publish below the list of Top Commentators.

De laatste twee maanden schreven we artikelen over Nederland, Spanje, Thailand, de Verenigde Staten, België, Franrijk en Singapore. Momenteel reizen we minder om gezondheidsredenen en de meeste van onze artikelen komen van onze reservevoorraad foto’s. Met veel tegenzin moesten we drie internationale reizen annuleren vanwege kwetsuren en operaties. Dit zal ook een impact hebben op onze Wereldrankingpositie in de Standaard Senior I Ballroom, waar we momenteel op de 77ste plaats staan. 

Kristel kon maanden niet competitief dansen omwille van een gebroken pink en handkwetsuur. Nu heb ik een kaakbeenoperatie ondergaan met extractie van al mijn boven tanden en het plaatsen van implantaten. Het zal een hele tijd duren vooraleer we terug hersteld zijn en al onze wedstrijden voor januari en februari zijn wederom afgemeld. 

Genoeg over medische problemen en laat ons positief naar de toekomst kijken. Daar we zoveel gereisd hebben in 2015, is er nog voldoende materiaal om interessante verhalen op onze blog te delen. We danken onze lezers en publiceren hieronder de lijst van Top Commentators.

Blog Report and Top Commentators of October and November 2015

These were two incredible months with articles from my home country Belgium, Germany the country I often work in, Slovenia a country we danced in, and our travel adventures in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and the USA. Our collages cover Alaska, Slovenia and a mix of pictures from Asia.

We increased our blogging activities and also received more visits. It must be true that there is a direct link between the two. I wonder how bloggers attract hundreds of comments a day. Would they also be so active on other blogs? Where do they find the time? Anyway, we would like to thank all our readers and below you find a list of our Top Commentators with a link to their blog.

Dit waren twee ongelooflijke maanden met artikelen van ons thuisland België, Duitsland het land waar ik veel werk, Slovenië het land waar we dansten, en onze reisavonturen in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore en de Verenigde Staten. Onze collages tonen foto’s van Alaska, Slovenië en verschillende landen in Azië. 

We verhoogden onze blogactiviteit en kregen ook meer bezoekers. Zou er dan toch een directe link zijn tussen beide. Ik vraag me af hoe mensen het klaarspelen honderden commentaren te ontvangen op een dag. Zouden ze dan ook zo actief zijn op andere blogs? Waar vinden ze de tijd? Blog report and Top Commentators of months June and July 2015

We worked hard to continue publishing articles on our blog while being cut off from the world. We have been travelling through Alaska. It was a combination of driving, hiking into the wild, wildlife, glaciers and cruising in the inside passage. Almost no time to write and hardly any internet connections. We will write Alaska articles for a very long time.

The last two months we published articles of France, Latvia, Malaysia, The Netherlands, Singapore, Belgium, Malta, Greenland and the USA. That’s nine different countries, just as we like it. We will try to keep this up during August and September. From this moment on we will switch to bi-monthly Top Commentator reports. Thanks for all your contributions. We end with the list of Top Commentators and collages.

We hebben hard gewerkt om verder artikelen te publiceren terwijl we van de wereld afgesloten waren. Alaska was een combinatie van rijden, wandelen in de wildernis, dieren, gletsjers en cruisen in de Inside Passage. Er was gewoon geen tijd om te schrijven en er waren bijna geen internet connecties. We gaan nog lange tijd Alaska foto’s posten. 

De laatste twee maanden schreven we artikelen over Frankrijk, Letland, Maleisië, Nederland, Singapore, België, Malta, Groenland en de Verenigde Staten. Dat zijn negen verschillende landen, net waar wij van houden. Dit zal zo verder gaan gedurende augustus en september. Vanaf nu schakelen we over op twee maandelijkse Top Commentator rapporten. Blog Report and Top Commentators of May 2015

We blogged a bit more active during the month May and wrote a total of 20 articles covering subjects in Belgium, Malta, Malaysia, Thailand, Spain, United Kingdom and the Netherlands. All tough we travel less for pleasure, the number of business trips was a lot higher. Our collages cover Kuala Lumpur, Malta, London and Phuket. It is always fun to do something creative with your pictures.

Traffic on the blog went down to about 1.300 visits a day. I am going to put in extra efforts this month and hope to see a positive impact in June. Like every Top Commentator article we are publishing a list of the top 15 commentators with a link to their website. Thanks for visiting us.

We hebben iets actiever geblogd deze maand en schreven in totaliteit 20 artikelen over onderwerpen in België, Malta, Maleisië, Thailand, Spanje, Groot-Brittannië en Nederland. Alhoewel we minder reisden voor ons plezier, was het aantal zakenreizen veel hoger. Onze collages tonen foto’s van Kuala Lumpur, Malta, Londen en Phuket. Het is altijd leuk iets creatief met je foto’s te ondernemen. 

Het verkeer op onze blog zakte tot ongeveer 1.300 bezoekers per dag. Met wat extra inzet deze maand hopen wij een positieve impact te zien in juni. We are approaching the end of the dance season, are intensifying our training and participate in more competitions. In April we published three articles about ballroom dancing and we get very positive reactions.

Our articles covered countries like Belgium, Malaysia, Spain and Thailand. The collages show the best pictures of Little India in Kuala Lumpur, impressions of Catalonia and Phuket in Thailand. Like every month we end the article with a list of our Top Commentators. Thanks for visiting our blog.

We naderen het einde van het dansseizoen en verhogen onze trainingen en nemen deel in meer wedstrijden. In april hebben we drie artikelen over Ballroom dansen gepubliceerd en krijgen vele positieve reacties.

It was an extremely busy month at work so a calm month on our blog. We continued to publish on a two daily basis but couldn't not exchange comments regularly. We are however pleased with the articles of our trips, it always brings back nice memories and we like to share information with other travelers. Het was een extreem drukke maand op het werk en dat betekend een kalme periode op onze blog. We publiceerde één artikel iedere twee dagen, maar konden niet regelmatig commentaar geven. We zijn echter wel blij met de artikelen over onze reizen, ze brengen altijd goede herinneringen en we houden er van informatie met andere reizigers te delen. Monthly blog report and Top Commentators February 2015

The first day of the month started differently than expected. Instead of dancing a national BDSF Ballroom competition, we gave forfeit due to a knee injury. A few days rest will probably bring relief. We will assess it on Tuesday during our first training session.

February was a short month and we wrote about four countries: Spain, Malta, Malaysia and Thailand. Since we have not enough time to write daily, we keep building up an archive of pictures and stories that will be published in the coming months. Some of our stories will be a few months old. With only 18 articles in February, we received less comments as average months. Below you find the collages of our best pictures and the list of Top Commentators.

De eerste dag van de maand begon anders dan verwacht. In plaats van een nationale competitie te dansen moesten we forfait geven vanwege een knieblessure. Een paar dagen rust zal waarschijnlijk verbetering brengen. We gaan het opvolgen na de eerste training op dinsdagavond. 

Februari was een korte maand en we schreven over vier landen: Spanje, Malta, Maleisië en Thailand. Daar we niet genoeg tijd hebben iedere dag te schrijven, wordt ons niet gepubliceerd archief van foto’s en verhalen steeds groter. Sommige verhalen zullen bij publicatie enkele maanden oud zijn. Met enkel 18 artikelen in februari kregen we minder commentaren als gemiddelde maanden. Hieronder vind je enkele collages met onze beste foto’s en de lijst top commentators.

Monthly blog report and Top Commentators January 2015

The first month of 2015 is already behind us, time flies when you are having fun or a lot of work. While you are reading the summary of the month, we are dancing a world ranking competition in Antwerp. In January we reached our highest world ranking position in the WDSF Senior I standard: place 76. Let’s hope we can stay around this position the coming months.

Collages of Singapore, Thailand and Colombia were added below. In total we published 19 articles from Colombia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, The Netherlands and Spain. More diverse than previous months, something we enjoy. We end with a list of our most frequent commentators.

De eerste maand van 2015 is reeds voorbij, de tijd vliegt als je plezier en veel werk hebt. Terwijl jullie deze samenvatting lezen dansen wij een wereld ranking competitie in Antwerpen. Deze maand bereikten we onze hoogste WDSF Senior I, ranking positie ooit: de 76ste plaats. Laat ons hopen dat we dit kunnen handhaven de komende maanden.

A new milestone on our blog, 3.000.000 visitors at the end of 2014

Frequent readers noticed that the publishing rate on our blog is slowing down to about one article every two days. In 2015 we will continue to work, dance and travel. Most of our adventures and culinary discoveries will find their way on the internet via this forum.

The last two months we wrote articles from our travels in Colombia, Ecuador, Latvia, Italy, Malaysia, Panama, Thailand and the United Kingdom. Traveling is in our blood but occasionally we should do something in our home country so that we can also share this with you. We are very happy that last month we received our 3.000.000th visitor.

Like each monthly article we add a collage of our favorite pictures and a list of Top Commentators of the last two months. A few readers were very active, we thank them for these contributions and sharing our blog.

Trouwe lezers hebben opgemerkt dat we iets minder snel publiceren met ongeveer één artikel om de twee dagen. Gedurende 2015 gaan we verder werken, dansen en reizen. Het merendeel van onze avonturen en culinaire ontdekkingen zullen hun weg vinden op het internet via dit forum.

Deze laatste twee maanden schreven we over onze reizen door Colombia, Ecuador, Letland, Italië, Maleisië, Panama, Thailand en het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Reizen zit in het bloed maar af en toe moeten we wat meer doen in eigen land en dit met jullie delen. We zijn blij dat we vorige maand onze 3 miljoenste bezoeker hebben mogen verwelkomen.

Our monthly traffic on the blog is still dropping to about 200.000, the robots are being refused and that shows in our statistics. We were also not so active this month because of work and traveling. We wrote about Belgium, Chile, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands and United Kingdom. We end our article with the collages of and the list of Top Commentators.

Ons maandelijks verkeer op de blog is nog steeds aan het dalen tot 200.000 bezoeken. We weigeren nu robotten en dat is duidelijk voelbaar in onze statistieken. Ook waren we niet zo actief vanwege het werk en het reizen. We schreven over België, Chili, Duitsland, Italië, Nederland en het Verenigd Koninkrijk. What we feared last month has now happened. We could not publish every day and skipped in total five days. Not being so active and closing our blog for comments from robots has resulted in a drop of hits to about 240.000. We wrote about Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain and Chile. We end our article with the collages of and the list of Top Commentators.

Wat we vreesden vorige maand is nu echt gebeurd, we konden niet iedere dag publiceren en sloegen vijf dagen over. Daar we niet zo actief waren en onze blog afsloten voor commentaren van robots heeft dit geresulteerd in een daling van het aantal bezoekers tot 240.000. We schreven over België, Luxemburg, Spanje, Duitsland en Chili. We eindigen ons artikel met collages van de maand en de lijst van Top Commentators.

Monthly blog report and Top Commentators of July 2014

It is this time of the month again, the rap-up of July 2014. We wrote about five countries this month: Argentina, Belgium, Germany, Uruguay and Spain. The country we live in, The Netherlands didn’t feature and this is extremely rare. Traffic increased again with now more than 222.000 visits in one month. We wonder where this is going to end. It is only in the last few months visits are more frequently. During August we are going to receive our 2.000.000th visitor. Who is it going to be? We are going to monitor this and put the Top Commentator of August who comes the closest to number 2.000.000 in the spotlight.

Although we visited many places most pictures of our monthly collages pictures focus on Wuppertal were we danced an international competition. Probably this city has now a special place in our heart. As usual we end with the list of Top Commentators of the month. Thanks.

Het is weer die tijd van de maand, de samenvatting van gebeurtenissen in juli 2014. We schreven over vijf landen: Argentinië, België, Duitsland, Uruguay en Spanje. Het land waar we in leven, Nederland, werd niet over geschreven wat heel raar is. Het aantal bezoekers steeg weer tot meer als 222.000 hits deze maand. We vragen ons af waar dit gaat eindigen. Het is slechts enkele maanden dat het verkeer sterk stijgt. Tijdens augustus gaan we onze 2.000.000ste bezoeker krijgen. Wie gaat dit zijn? Dit gaan we opvolgen en de Top Commentator die het dichts bij komt gaat in de bloemetjes worden gezet. 

Alhoewel we veel plaatsen hebben bezocht zijn de meeste foto’s in onze collage van Wuppertal waar we een internationale competitie hebben gedanst. Waarschijnlijk heeft deze stad een speciale plaats in ons hart ingenomen. Zoals altijd eindigen we het artikel met de lijst van Top Commentators van de maand. Hartelijk dank.
