Les Jardins de la Fontaine and temple of Diane, Nimes

In this article, we see Kristel at the first fountain before entering “Les Jardins de la Fontaine”. The water looks a bit green, probably due to the hot weather. Bridges and statues on the lower levels are very beautiful. In order to reach “Tour de Magne” we had to walk up the hill. This takes a while but the views are worth it. On our way back we pass the ruins of the Roman Temple of Diane.

Alameda Apocada Gardens with its super mosaic tiles, Cadiz

This park is ideal for a stroll and sitting on one of the mosaic benches, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. All areas are landscaped with fountains, walking pavements, benches and mosaic. Enjoy the good spring weather while it is not too hot yet.

Sculptured trees at Park Genoves, Cadiz

In the southern Spanish coastal town of Cadiz, you find many beautiful parks. Park Genoves with its sculptured trees, palms, flowers, water cascades and ducks is one of them. Everywhere are benches for visitors to take a break from their walk and enjoy nature. A very good location to visit.

Parc Emile Duclaux and Palais du Pharo, Marseille

The most beautiful building in this park is without any doubt Palais du Pharo. A castle built for Napoleon Bonaparte who gave this as a present to his wife. The park and gardens house an art collection.

Park Emile Duclaux is also the best location to enjoy fantastic views over the Old Port of Marseille. From here you see all the boats enter between the palace and the fort. We could sit here a long time on a bench in the sun.

It is always nice to walk in a park while being in a major city like Paris. Issy-les-Moulineaux is one of the better districts where new apartment blocks are being build, right in front of the parc with views on the Seine. This will probably be very expensive.

Parc de l’île Saint-Germain is enormous for a city. At the entrance we are welcomed by noisy frogs in a small pond. A bit further we see a modern piece of art called Tour Aux Figures from the artist Jean Dubuffet. It has certainly made an impression. The Clos Gardens where the most colorful with flowers but also displayed chaos. The maintenance of the park could be improved.
