Convent of the Bernardines and museum, Dijon

This convent can be recognised by the big green dome on top of the circular church. Entrance was for free and many of the rooms were open for the public. The convent museum displays statues, paintings and other art.

The most interesting was a large collection of wine goblets. Most of them very old with an indication of their history. Who was using it and in which period. Most of them look like they are from gold, decorated and with precious stones. In fact, they all are a representation of the Holy Grale. It makes you reflect.

She wrote the prayer about the three unity she worships. The trinity represents the House of God, the Father and the bride. Two years later at the age of 26, Elisabeth dies from an incurable sickness.

Place and Jardin Darcy, Dijon

Place Darcy is located at the edge of the old city center. On a sunny day, an ideal place to have a drink on one of the terraces, enjoying the historical buildings and watch people walking by. On Place Darcy you also find a movie theater in great architecture.

A bit further young people hang around and play games in the Darcy Gardens. We go for a walk to see the fountain, flowers and statues. This is a relaxing oasis away from the busy streets of Dijon.
