De meeste Art Deco huizen in Miami Beach kunnen worden terug gevonden op Ocean Drive en Collins Avenue maar ze liggen ook verspreid in het stadscentrum. Deze populaire kunststroom die zijn top kende tussen 1920 en 1940 beïnvloedde niet enkel de architectuur maar ook interieur ontwerpen en kleding. Voor ons is deze stroming moeilijk te begrijpen en zien we enkel het kubisme en de kleurvol geschilderde motieven. De Art Deco gevels blijken wel veel onderhoud nodig te hebben. We hopen dat je de foto’s leuk vindt en proberen in de komende dagen nog enkele nachtfoto’s te maken..

Very spectacular streets with those palms. Deep blue sky is a perfect background.
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine all of the "facade maintenance' those buildings would take. Especially in the sea air which i imagine is very hard on buildings. Like that little fountain that Kristel is sitting by, and the spout on the fountain looks like a copy of one that i saw in Rome
