Our first day in Uruguay and it rains cats and dogs. We stop at the most important square of Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay and most people decide to stay on the bus. What's wrong with them, we are only going to get this opportunity once in a lifetime. Let's get wet.
The Independence Square has in the middle Artigas Mausoleum and it is surrounded by important buildings like the Solís Theatre, Palacio Estévez were the President works together with the government and the amazing Salvo Palace. This tower with exceptional small domes is 100m high and the icon of the Montevideo.
Onze eerste dag in Uruguay en het giet water. We stoppen op het belangrijkste plein van Montevideo, de hoofdstad van Uruguay en de meeste mensen beslissen niet van de bus te stappen. Wat is er mis met hen? Wij gaan deze kans slechts één keer in ons leven krijgen dus laten we de regen trotseren.
In het midden van Independence Square staat het Artigas Mausoleum en het wordt omringd door belangrijke gebouwen zoals het Solís Theater, Palacio Estévez waar de President met de regering werkt en het ongelooflijke Salvo Paleis. Deze 100 meter hoge toren heeft een bijzondere vorm met kleine koepels en is het symbool van Montevideo.
