This church in the city centre of Mdina looks very small. The most impressive part of the exterior was the statue on the corner which displays the Most Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel together with Jesus Christ. Both people wear a crown. The other exterior parts of this church are not visible because the streets in Mdina are just too narrow to take pictures of buildings.
Inside the Baroque church we are overwhelmed by decorations, art and wall paintings. The ceiling holds an incredible collection of angel paintings. They all look different, play musical instruments, take on positions of worship and open their arms to symbolise a welcome greeting. In the middle of the painting we find back Mary with Jesus.
