The façade, statues, fountains and decorations are in an excellent state. The inner dome combines a white ceiling with golden elements. The natural sun light in the church is amazing, most churches with such architecture are too dark. Next to the fresco’s, you also find many framed paintings. The whole church received an additional touch by adding the colour blue to the interior. Together with the light it creates a bright and warm ambiance.
Deze kerk is het meest interessante gebouw van Mosta stad, in feite is het de enige bezienswaardigheid. Ze wordt ook Rotunda Saint Marija Assunta genoemd vanwege de cirkelvormige bouw. De koepel is enorm en de kerk is echt duidelijk zichtbaar tussen alle andere gebouwen als je naar Mosta kijkt van uit de bergen.
De gevels, standbeelden, fonteinen en decoraties zijn in uitstekende staat. De binnenzijde van de koepel combineert een witte achtergrond met gouden elementen. Het natuurlijk zonlicht in de kerk is verbazingwekkend, de meeste kerken in deze architectuur zijn te donker. Naast de fresco’s, zijn muren rijkelijk versierd met ingelijste schilderwerken. De gehele kerk krijgt iets extra door wat blauw in het interieur aan te brengen. Samen met het overvloedige licht creëert het blauwe, een warme atmosfeer.
