Berlin is a city of contrasts: modern versus historical buildings, busy intersections versus large parks, rich versus poor and East versus West Berlin. It is in this last example you find most of the history: the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, Communism, the DDR, atom bomb shelters, and much more.
In this article we share some General Impression pictures to give you an idea of the variety Berlin has to offer. If your time is limited to only 1 or 2 days, we recommend you to take a Hop-on Hop-off sightseeing bus. In the city, you find lots of art, graffiti, fountains and great architecture. The capital of Germany has many excellent restaurants but you should not go back home without trying the Berliner Currywurst (sausage). Sometimes you see funny sights like a row of policeman with their motorcycles or a gas pipeline above the ground. Berlin is a very large city so take enough time to plan your visit.

Bij dit laatste voorbeeld vind je de meeste geschiedenis: de Berlijnse Muur, Checkpoint Charlie, Communisme, de DDR, atoomschuilkelders, en veel meer.
