Blue Elephant restaurant, St. Julians, Malta

Like the name probably reveals, this is a Thai restaurant. It is located in the Hilton hotel and represents high quality standards. The Blue Elephant is a Thai chain of restaurants from a Belgian owner. We visited one of his restaurants in Phuket and were pleased. Enough reasons to try the Maltese sister restaurant.

When you enter the restaurant it almost looks like a small village with houses, temples, bridges, water and different rooms. We say cheers with a Mai Thai cocktail. We took a mix of starters and main courses. In fact their main menu which contained spring rolls, shrimp, dim sum, sate, fruit, white fish, vegetables, lamb, beef and chicken. The evening was a succes.

Brunch at the Hilton Munich Park

When we are in Asia, we love Sunday brunches. High quality hotel chains organise these almost every week. Being in Munich on a Sunday and having to catch a plane in the evening, we looked for a hotel offering a brunch.

Most of the Munich high quality hotels do offer these events but not during the summer. The Hilton Munich Park offers a brunch the whole year long. We made reservations a few days in advance.

The views of the city from the top floor of the hotel are very nice. The brunch was all inclusive, cold and warm starters, main courses, cheeses, desserts and drinks. Everything was in buffet services adding some life cooking stations. We would categorise this brunch as expensive for the quality they offer.

Alles was in buffetvorm met enkele life cooking stations.

Modern buildings and skyscrapers of Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires

The modern part of Puerto Madero is right up there with the innovative architecture of top European and American cities. Some skyscrapers are more than 50 floors high and contain apartments, offices and even hotels.

Some buildings are connected by a walking bridge between two high glass towers reflecting their surroundings. Other construction keep it a bit simpler with combination of concrete and glass wall alternating floor by floor. The shot from the foot of these tower with different colors are our favorite pictures. The entrance of the Hilton hotel looks almost like a mirror.
