Birds in Bush Gardens, Tampa. Why do they come back?

Bush Gardens in Tampa, Florida, is a zoo and amusement park. It is just fantastic. We were wondering how it is possible that most of the birds live free in the park. You see them flying away to another area in the park and later come back. How is this possible? Sometimes they risk their lives landing in areas where predators live. Most tropical birds live encaged but in large surfaces. It seems that they have a good live here and we could take good pictures. The cages are so large that visitors can go for a walk inside them.

Bush Gardens in Tampa, Florida, is een zoo maar ook pretpark. Het is gewoon fantastisch. We vroegen ons wel af hoe het mogelijk is dat de meeste vogels vrij rondvliegen in het park. Je ziet ze wegvliegen naar een ander gebied en later terugkomen. Hoe kan dit? Soms riskeren ze hun leven door te landen in een gebied waar roofdieren leven. De meeste tropische vogels verblijven echter in kooien maar hebben heel veel ruimte. Het lijkt een goed leven en gaf ons de mogelijkheid mooie foto’s te nemen. De kooien zijn zo groot dat de mensen er in kunnen gaan wandelen..

Exploring Hogwarts castle at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Orlando

Universal Studios in Orlando has created an amazing fantasy theme area “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter”, and it is a big hit. The centre piece of the magical area is Hogwarts castle, the school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It is located at the end of a snowed under town of Hogsmeade which has many shops but also toilets occupied by Moaning Myrtle, the bar of the Three Broomsticks and Olivanders wand shop.

Inside Hogwards you experience the “Forbidden Journey of Harry Potter” which is a high motion attraction in 4D. On your journey you fly a broomstick and try to escape from a dragon, your are lost in the wood with giant spiders, you play quidditch and have to escape the Dementors. On your way to the attraction you have to queue but no problem, you are inside the castle and see the headmaster’s staircase, his chamber, the classroom of the Defence against the Dark Arts, and many moving and talking paintings, just like in the movies based on the books of J.K. Rowling. What a magical adventure for Harry Potter fans.

Universal Studios in Orlando heeft een ongelooflijke fantasie wereld gecreëerd die de “Wizarding World of Harry Potter” noemt. Het is een grote hit. Het meesterwerk van het themagebied is het kasteel van Zweinstein, de hogeschool voor Heskserij en Hocus-Pocus. Deze is gelegen achter het ondergesneeuwde stadje Hogsmeade dat vele winkeltjes bevat maar ook toiletten waar Jammerende Jenny ronddoolt, de bar van de drie bezemstelen en de toverstokken winkel van Olivander. 

Binnen het kasteel van Zweinstein kan je deelnemen aan de “Verboden reis van Harry Potter” dat een snelle veel bewegende 4D attractie is. Onderweg vlieg je op een bezemsteel en tracht je te ontsnappen aan een draak, je loopt verloren in het verboden bos met spinnen, je speelt zwerkbal en je moet vluchten voor Dementors. Tijdens het aanschuiven in het kasteel kom je langs het trappenhuis van de directeur, zijn werkkamer, het klaslokaal voor het vak “Verweer tegen de Zwarte Kunsten”, en vele sprekende en bewegende schilderijen, net zoals in de films gebaseerd op de boeken van J.K. Rowling. Wat een magisch avontuur voor Harry Potter fans..

We wish you a Merry Christmas from Bush Gardens, Tampa

On this Christmas evening we would like to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas. We do this with our impressions from Bush Gardens, the Africa theme park in Tampa. Here the Christmas sleigh is pulled by a zebra instead of deer. Some of Christmas trees are bright yellow and we still have sun and palm trees. A Merry Christmas to you all.

Op Kerstavond wensen we u en uw familie een prettige Kerst toe. We doen dit met onze foto’s van Bush Gardens, het Afrika pretpark in Tampa. Hier wordt de slee getrokken door een zebra in plaats van rendieren. Enkele kerstbomen zijn fel geel gekleurd en we hebben nog steeds zon en palmbomen. Een zalige Kerstmis voor iedereen.
