Discovering the capital of Malta, we were astonished with the multitude of colourful balconies against the facades of Valletta houses. They come in all kinds of sizes, shapes and colours.
Some need a layer of paint but there are owners who proudly keep them in excellent shape. The city council should support the maintenance and oblige owners to keep them in a good state. This is the only place in the world we saw such an exceptional style. We are proud of our pictures and will look many times back at this blog.
Bij het ontdekken van de hoofdstad van Malta, waren we verbaasd over de veelvoudige gekleurde balkons tegen de gevels van Valletta huizen. Ze bestaan in allerlei groottes, vormen en kleuren.
Sommigen kunnen wel een laagje verf gebruiken maar er zijn ook eigenaars die trots hun uitbouw uitstekend verzorgen. De gemeenteraad zou het noodzakelijk onderhoud moeten verplichten en eigenaars die het moeilijk hebben ondersteunen. Dit is een unieke plaats, nergens voorheen hebben we zo'n stijl gezien. We zijn trots op onze foto's en zullen ze nog regelmatig terug bekijken.
