Fort San Felipe is one of the most preserved forts in the Caribbean Sea. It is the first defense post for ships entering the region of Cartagena. This is probably the most popular tourist attraction of the city. Not only the climb, ruins and history are interesting also the underground corridors and cells are open to the public.
Fort San Felipe is één van de beste bewaarde forten in het Caribische Zee gebied. Het is de eerste verdedigingslijn tegen schepen die de regio van Cartagena naderen. Dit is waarschijnlijk de meest populaire bezienswaardigheid van de stad. Niet enkel de klim, het zicht, de ruïnes, en geschiedenis zijn interessant maar ook de ondergrondse tunnels en cellen die open zijn voor het publiek.

ReplyDeleteWow, what a place to tour. All those hats had me wondering, then it dawned on me. They must be for sale for those in need of a bit of shade on their heads! Great place to sell, especially interesting that they have so many styles too!
