It has been a while since we published a video from our own dancing on this blog. That's because it is not easy to find people to make recordings. So if you want to volunteer don't hesitate to send us a mail or to leave a comment on this blog. It is really appreciated. In the video below we made a compilation of the 5 dances. There were many people in the ballroom and it was difficult to make this video.

Het is een tijdje geleden dat we nog een video hebben gepubliceerd van ons dansen. Het is niet gemakkelijk mensen te vinden die ons kunnen opnemen. Als je dus vrijwilliger bent, aarzel dan niet te mailen of een commentaar op deze blog na te laten. We waarderen dit sterk. De video hieronder is een compilatie van alle 5 dansen. Er waren zeer veel toeschouwers op deze competitie wat het bemoeilijkte opnames te maken.

IDSF danceComp 2010, Wuppertal

This weekend we danced our second IDSF competition in the historical town hall of Wuppertal. We did not get any markings but were pleased with our performance in the redance round in which all 5 dances were up to the level we would like to achieve. In total 158 couples participated in the adults standard that was won by Benedetto Ferruggia and Claudia Köhler from Germany, the current World Champions. It was a pity we missed the final that was planned around 2:30 in the night but we also enjoyed the fantastic final of the youth standard. This is a fantastic venue and if you have the possibility you should participate here.

Dit weekend hebben we onze 2de IDSF competitie gedanst in het historische stadhuis van Wuppertal. We kregen geen crossen van de jury, maar we waren tevreden met ons dansniveau in alle 5 dansen in de herkansingsronde. In totaal deden er 158 paren mee in de adults standard dat werd gewonnen door Benedetto Ferruggia en Claudia Köhler van Duitsland, de huidige Wereldkampioenen. Het was spijtig dat we de finale hebben gemist die gepland was om 2:30 's nachts maar we hebben toch volop genoten van de finale Youth standard. Dit is een fantastische locatie en als je de kans ziet moet je hier zeker meedoen.

IDSF 3rd Belgium Classic, Hasselt

The Belgium Classic in Hasselt was our first IDSF competition. Because we are a Belgian couple dancing for the Dutch federation NADB we had some difficulties in registering. When the couples started the warm up we thought, is this a good idea. Our level is a lot lower than these international toppers. We danced the first round and were very pleased with our dancing. We felt that we danced to the best of our ability and did not get into problems with traffic. We decided to participate in some IDSF competitions during the summer period so that we can start the new national season without stress and keep some competition rhythm.

De Belgium Classic in Hasselt was onze eerste IDSF competitie. Omdat we een Belgisch paar zijn die voor de Nederlandse federatie NADB danst, hadden we enkele moeilijkheden om ons te registreren. Wanneer alle paren hun opwarming startten, dachten wij, is dit wel een goed idee? Ons niveau ligt veel lager dan dat van deze internationale top paren. Na de eerste ronde waren we zeer blij met onze danskwaliteit. We denken dat we op het beste van onze mogelijkheden hebben gedanst en we zijn niet in de problemen gekomen door verkeer. We hebben besloten aan enkele IDSF competities deel te nemen gedurende de zomerperiode zodat we zonder stress ons nationaal dansseizoen kunnen aanvangen. Ons doel is om de competitieritme tijdens de zomer te behouden.

Mini Blackpool 2010, Kerkdriel - D-Class - IDSF

Mini Blackpool is now for us the second year in a row a good competition. We became 5th in 2009 and repeated this good result this year with a 4th place. Our first round was a complete disaster, we couldn't find each other and all dances were uncontrolled. Nevertheless we qualified directly for the semi final. The second round and the final were much better. We found our composure and increased the quality of our dances. We are pleased with the end result.

This year there was also an IDSF competition. We didn't participate, but enjoyed all the other very good couples. Below you find the videos of the IDSF final standard.

Mini Blackpool is voor het tweede jaar op rij een goede competitie voor ons. We werden 5de in 2009 en herhaalden dit goede resultaat door dit jaar 4de te worden. Onze eerste ronde was een complete ramp, we vonden elkaar niet en alle dansen waren zeer ongecontroleerd. Niettegenstaande kwalificeerden we ons rechtstreeks voor de halve finale. In de tweede ronde en de finale hebben we veel beter gedanst. We hebben onze rust teruggevonden en dit leidde tot een hogere kwaliteit in al onze dansen. We zijn tevreden met het eindresultaat.

Dit jaar was er ook een IDSF competitie. We hebben niet deelgenomen maar wel genoten van al deze zeer goede paren . Hieronder vind je enkele video's van de IDSF finale standaard.
