Dubai Fountains and Burj Khalifa by night – downtown Dubai

The Dubai Fountains and the Burj Khalifa are two major attractions in Dubai. Next to the waterfront promenade of the fountains you find the Dubai Mall. In this shopping centre you have many restaurants with terraces over viewing the fountain area and facing the Burj Khalifa. The Burj Khalifa is now the tallest building on earth, 828 metres high with 200 floors. We will come back in the blog on the tower when we visit the observation deck on the 124th floor. But back to this evening, the lights of all buildings are spectacular, the music bursts out of the speakers when the Dubai Fountains explode and reach an altitude of 150m. Several thousand people are watching the fountain show every hour from 19:00 till 23:00. What a super experience. By the way, you have a large choice of restaurants with views on the Dubai Fountains but they don’t serve alcohol. For Europeans this is chock therapy.

  3. You sure do get around. It looks a very rich city but I believe very hot too. The fountain sounds similar to one in Las Vegas, They are fun to watch and listen to.

  15. I was not aware of the Dubai Fountains. They kind of remind me of the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
