Restaurant Anatolia, Turkish and Ottoman Food in Istanbul

It doesn’t always have to be expensive to be a good restaurant. At the end of the Ticarethane Sk you find restaurant Anatolia, a cosy place with good quality food and friendly service. We discovered the restaurant by accident and were very pleased.

Before we ordered we got fresh warm bread with olives. The Turkish food and Ottoman hot plates are new to us and very tasty. The red Turkish house wine was an excellent match with the lamb. To end our lunch we received an Amaretto from the house. The next day we went back to the same restaurant.

Het moet niet altijd duur zijn om een goede restaurant beleving te hebben. Op het einde van de Ticarethane Sk straat vind je het restaurant Anatolia, een gezellig plaatsje met echte kwaliteitsgerechten en vriendelijke service. We ontdekten het restaurant per ongeluk en het was een voltreffer. 

Voor we bestelden kregen we vers warm brood met olijven. Het Turkse eten en Ottomaanse vuurvaste pannetjes zijn nieuw voor ons en zeer goed van smaak. De rode Turkse huiswijn paste perfect bij het lam. Na de lunch kregen we nog een Amaretto van het huis aangeboden. De volgende dag gingen we terug naar het zelfde restaurant..

Hotel Erboy and restaurant Paşazade in Sirkeci Istanbul

This three star hotel is located in the heart of the old city of Istanbul. It is close to the Grand Bazaar, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the Blue Mosque. The service of the hotel is excellent. After booking, we received a confirmation mail, an additional mail with tourist information and because we stay for a few days, the chauffeur of the Erboy hotel picks us up at the airport. The first evening, we are invited to their restaurant, Paşazade for a complementary dinner. This typical Ottoman cuisine was new for us but we liked the pasta, the minced lamb meat and the sweet desserts.

The rooms have all necessary comfort like air-conditioning, TV, WIFI, a good shower and most important a good bed. A few days before arrival we requested a quite room and our request was processed within one day. This is a hotel that we could recommend to everyone on a city trip to Istanbul.

Dit drie sterren hotel is gelegen in het hart van de oude stad van Istanboel. Het is dicht bij de Grand Bazaar, de Hagia Sophia, het Topkapi Paleis en de Blauwe Moskee. De dienstverlening van de hotel is uitstekend. Na onze reservatie kregen een bevestiging toegestuurd, een tweede mail met toeristeninformatie en omdat we enkele dagen blijven kwam de chauffeur van het hotel ons op aan de luchthaven ophalen. De eerste avond werd ons een etentje in hun restaurant Paşazade aangeboden. Deze typische Ottomaanse keuken is nieuw voor ons maar de pasta, het gehakt van lam en de zoete nagerechten vielen in de smaak. 

De kamers hebben al het essentiële comfort zoals airco, TV, WI-FI, een mooie badkamer en het allerbelangrijkste een goed bed. Een paar dagen voor onze aankomst schreven we het hotel nog aan voor een rustige stille kamer en dit verzoek werd onmiddellijk ingewilligd. Een hotel dat we aan iedereen op een city trip naar Istanboel kunnen aanbevelen..
