General Impressions of St. George, Grenada

Grenada is one of the poorer islands of the Caribbean. The capital, St. George is a multitude of colorful houses. In the bay you find some fisher boats and a three master sail-ship. There are a few shops in the port but as soon as you go deeper into the city center, all commercial activities are basic with the local population as customer target group.

All tough many cruise ships visit the island, passengers book organised tours to see nature and beaches. From the hills of this spice island, you have excellent views on the city, industrial area and sports fields. We advise you to take a taxi or book an excursion to visit the island, on your way back you can still explore the city.

  1. Lots of beauty here! I don't know how these woman can balance so much heavy stuff on their heads! I guess they have been doing it since they were little girls.

  2. It looks nice enough. Rather pretty in some of the photos and clean.
