The government of Andalusia in Palace San Telom, Sevilla

We have to say that government buildings in Belgium look different then this palace here in Sevilla. It is the office building of the Andalusian council of ministers, the parliament and the President. It sound like Spain also has a true federal structure with autonomous local responsibilities for each region.

Here in Sevilla, the San Telom Palace is not only an office building but a great monument. The palace in Baroque architecture has been erected in the late 17th century. When you at first see the palace, you are impressed with its length and the perfectly restored orange brown facade. As soon as you stand in front of the entrance portal you wonder how the architect could ever add such a distinctive element to this uniform building. It is white, overloaded with sculptures and in a totally different style. We have to admit it looks great and is without doubt the most beautiful part.
