Dragons protecting the streets of Chinatown, Seattle

Close to King Station you find the Chinatown district. It is rather small but contains some interesting gates, wall paintings and our favorites, many dragons. The dragons are twisted around streetlight poles. Their heads high in the sky and looking down into the streets. This is not your average guard dog.

Tha Rua Shrine, a temple of dragons, Phuket

We don’t know a lot of this Chinese temple in Phuket but driving by on the Thepkrasattri Road, the Tha Rua Shrine looked impressive in all its colors. There was nobody around, we stopped to take some pictures of the shrine and dragons.

In my imagination and a fan of Game of Thrones it made me think of the Mother of Dragons. Kristel keeps the two behind her on a tight leach, no worries at all. Enough jokes now, I really liked the little stone dragon looking into the fire vase. You could almost feel it burning.
