The Europa-Center has become an old construction but is still the home of many stores and restaurants. In the building you find a clock covering several floor and which works with coloured fluids. The shopping center is located at the corner of Tauentzienstrasse and the famous Kurfürstendamm. These are two of the big shopping street of Berlin. Just outside on the Breitscheidplatz, Kristel decides to pose in front of the David Beckham Bodywear billboards. Hm, why is this guy so popular? What does he have more than me?
Het is intrigerend te zien hoe de reusachtige Mercedes Ster om zijn as draait bovenop de toren van het Europa-Center. De toren is nu meer als 50 jaar oud maar in 1960 was dit het symbool voor een modern West Berlijn. Sinds die tijd is er veel veranderd, Berlijn is nu een moderne metropool met volledig nieuwe gebieden zoals Potzdammerplatz.
Het Europa-Center is een oud gebouw geworden maar nog steeds de locatie voor vele winkels en restaurants. Binnen in de toren vind je een glazen klok bestaande uit buizen die verschillende verdiepingen in beslag nemen. Hierdoor loopt een kleurrijke vloeistof die de tijd aanduid. Het winkelcentrum is gelegen op de hoek van Tauentzienstrasse en de beroemde Kurfürstendamm. Dit zijn twee van de grootste winkelstraten van Berlijn. Net achter het gebouw, op de Breitscheidplatz, besloot Kristel te poseren voor de reklamepanelen van Bodywear met onze voetbalvriend David Beckham. Hm, waarom is deze man zo populair? Wat heeft hij, dat ik niet heb.?
