Milan the city of fashion and trend setting

We have to admit that we almost don't know anything about fashion and don't buy expensive clothing. It is however clear, even to us, that Milan portrays itself as fashion city in the world. The shop windows are professionally designed, display style and elegance. Milan sets the trend in the fashion industry.

We moeten toegeven dat we bijna niets weten van mode en dat we geen dure kledij kopen. Het is ons echter duidelijk, zelf voor ons, dat Milaan zich profileert als mode stad van de wereld. Alle etalages zijn professioneel ontworpen, stijlvol en elegant. Milaan zet de trend in de mode industrie.

Free admission to Mude, Design and Fashion museum in Lisbon

Mude is a fashion museum in Lisbon and is located on R. Augusta, 24. At this time they expose a Francisco Capelo Collection of furniture on the two lower floors of which we could not take any pictures. The top floor of the museum houses fashion, design clothing.

We were surprised to see that the interior of the building was in such a poor state but it was in fact an element that contributed to the magic of the fashion displays. The MUDE works with stands that block a part of your view, mirrows that multiply your experience and light. Before entering the upper floor you get warned by an employee to be careful because the set up of the art makes you feel disoriented. Without paying attention, you could run into a wall, it is like a mirrow palace.

MUDE is een mode museum in Lissabon en is gelegen op R. Augusta 24. Momenteel exposeren ze een meubel collectie van Francisco Capelo op de eerste twee verdiepingen maar hier mochten we geen foto’s van nemen. Het bovenste verdiep bevat een mode collectie van exclusieve kledij. 

We waren verrast dat de binnenzijde van het gebouw vervallen of onafgewerkt was maar dit feit bevorderde de magie van de mode tentoonstelling. Het MUDE werkt met sets die je zicht gedeeltelijk blokkeren en spiegels die sommige zaken vermenigvuldigen, het licht speelt ook een grote rol. Vooraleer je de tentoonstelling binnen ging werd je gewaarschuwd dat deze kunst opstellingen je kunnen desoriënteren. Zonder op te letten kan je eenvoudig tegen een muur aanlopen, het is net als in een spiegelpaleis.

Exclusive fashion shopping at Bal Harbour Shops, North Miami

We heard about this shopping mall in Miami and decided to have a look. We are not such fashion lovers but it is always fun to browse around the stores of the rich and famous. Maybe we will recognise a celebrity. The Bal Harbour Shops have all the best luxury brands in house and they sell many products. On the parking lot you see exclusive cars like Bentley, Rolls Royce, Ferrari…

People who really can afford these luxury products find here top brands like Bulgari, Chanel, Chopard, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Gucci, Prada, Versace and many more. The architecture of the two floor Bal Harbour Shops is interesting, palm trees in the middle of the ground floor, water displays and lots of flowers. A piece of art with giant silver balls drew my attention.

We hadden reeds over dit winkelcentrum in Miami gehoord en besloten eens te gaan kijken. Niet dat we modeliefhebbers zijn maar het is leuk eens rond te neuzen in de winkels voor de rijken op aarde. Misschien spotten we wel een beroemdheid. De Bal Harbour Shops verdelen de meest luxueuze merken en verkopen toch wel veel. Op het parkeerterrein zie je vele exclusieve auto’s zoals Bentley, Rolls Royce, Ferrari... 

Mensen die zich echt deze producten kunnen veroorloven vinden hier alle top merken zoals Bulgari, Chanel, Chopard, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Gucci, Prada, Versace en veel meer. De architectuur van het twee verdieping tellende Bal Harbour Shops is interessant, palmbomen staan op het gelijkvloers, waterfonteinen en vele bloemen. Een kunstwerk met grote zilveren ballen trekt onze aandacht..
