Trier has so many beautiful sights, far above our expectations for such a small city. The Kurfürstliches Palace and its garden is really impressive but the building is in desperate need of maintenance. Next to museum buildings with modern artwork, great facades, small alleys and fountains, is Trier also a green city. Everywhere you find parks and flowers. As soon as you drive a bit outside the city centre, you see vineyards, this is the Mosel region which is know for its Riesling grapes.
Trier heeft heel veel mooie bezienswaardigheden, ver boven onze verwachting voor zo’n kleine stad. Het Kurfürstliches Paleis en zijn tuinen zijn echt indrukwekkend maar het gebouw is dringend toe aan renovatiewerken. Naast musea met moderne kunst, ongelooflijke gevels, smalle steegjes en fonteinen, is Trier ook een groene stad. Overal vind je bloemen en parken. Van zodra je iets buiten het centrum rijdt, zie je wijngaarden. De is de regio van de Mosel die bekend staat voor Riesling druiven..
