LondonTown has a graphical approach for hotel bookings. You start on the map of London, you look in the area you would like to be located in, and you see an animation of the hotels. Each little hotel tower gives you their top discount indicator and the average price per night. I selected the Thistle Piccadilly hotel at only five minutes walking distance from the location I had to work at. On top of selecting the best suitable location, I received a 65% discount on the regular rate.
The Thistle Piccadilly is a four star hotel and was very good. Location is right in the centre of London, near Chinatown, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square and the nightlife of Soho. Around the hotel you find enough bars and restaurants. The rooms were super clean and comfortable, a great shower, flat screen TV and free wifi. Hotels in London are always expensive but at such a discounted price, I would certainly stay here again.
Het is altijd moeilijk op een efficiënte wijze een hotel te boeken in een grootstad als Londen. Waar is het hotel gelegen? Krijg ik een goede kamerprijs? De meeste boeking websites bieden gelijkaardige diensten aan en zijn niet gemakkelijk te vergelijken. LondonTown is een uitzondering, springt er echt uit en is indrukwekkend. Als ik naar Londen ga, boek ik op deze site.
LondonTown biedt een grafische interface voor het boeken van hotels. Je vangt aan op een kaart van London, ga naar het gebied waar je wilt logeren en je ziet een animatie van de hotels. Ieder klein hoteltorentje toont een gemiddelde nachtprijs en de beste mogelijke korting. Ik selecteerde het Thistle Piccadilly hotel op 5 minuten wandelen van mijn werkplaats. Naast de uitstekende locatie kreeg ik nog eens een korting van 65% op de normale prijs.
Het Thistle Piccadilly is een vier sterren hotel en was zeer goed. Gelegen midden in het centrum van London vlakbij Chinatown, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square en het nachtleven van Soho. In de buurt van het hotel vind je een grote selectie van bars en restaurants. De kamers waren groot, proper, comfortabel, een fantastische douche, flat screen TV en gratis WIFI. Hotels in Londen zijn altijd duur, maar tegen zo'n korting zou ik hier zeker terug logeren..
