Flying above a land of mountains and ice, Greenland

On our way to Seattle with flight LH0490, a Boeing 747 from Lufthansa we flew over Greenland at an altitude of 10,3 km. The weather was excellent with no clouds at the east frontier of the country. Lucky we were alert and looked at of the window because this is something you don't want to miss.

We saw the land of ice. Icebergs floating in the Atlantic Ocean. Some of them enormous, others defragmented. The ice comes in many forms, shapes and colors. Most of it is bright white like fresh snow, we could however see brown, black and blue stains. The canyons, lakes and mountains were incredible. Maybe we exaggerate with the number of pictures but we could not resist.

Mineralen?
