Restaurant Els Tinars, Catalan cuisine in the Girona region

This Catalan restaurant has one Michelin Star one was our first choice near the coastal village, Platja D'aro, where we booked a hotel. It is in the Girona region. The restaurant drew our attention via their website with excellent pictures of food presentation and the price value of their menus. The restaurant opens at 8pm which is rather late for non-Spanish customers. When making reservations, you have to indicate if you would like to select the degustation menu. Good to know.

In our menu we had a shrimp tartar, an amazing white fish in Catalan style, mushrooms, seabass, duck and some desserts. The wine pairing was of excellent price quality and we are not that easily surprised. Els Tinars has a large restaurant, it was completely full and it is hard to understand how they achieve this level in such high volume. Congratulations.

Gefeliciteerd.
