Cerro Dragon volcano with changing landscapes, Galapagos

Santa Cruz Island has many faces, this must be one of the most amazing, the Cerro Dragon volcano part. Landscapes are changing all the time. During our hike, we were on the beach, alongside ponds, on the forest, in the hills and on lava underground. The colors bring such variety that the volcano mountain looks like a totally different place.

We saw many different birds and our favorite was a fly over from a huge pelican. On the trail, we also encountered a large yellow land iguana. He was probably bigger than us.

  1. Wow, your picture of the pelican in flight is super! Also the pink legged bird and his reflection. But the star today has to be your dangerous close up of the fascinating iguana!
