The Royal Palace in Madrid was completed in 1755 for King living Karel III. The current King Juan Carlos is not living in this palace that is only used for official ceremonies. On Wednesdays, the European citizens have free entry to visit the Palace. However, when we were there, it was closed on Wednesday. I have only pictures from the outside and gardens, inside the Palace we were not allowed to use our camera. It is a pity, because the rooms are extraordinary. I would certainly recommend everyone to visit this palace when they are in Madrid. Schedule in enough time because you can expect long queues to enter.

ReplyDeleteExcellent reporting on the Royal Palace of Madrid. I was there and it's a spectacular place. It is next to the Plaza de Oriente and the Sabatini Gardens, next to the Spanish Steps. When I was full of tourists everywhere. Without a doubt it is one of the most visited Royal Palace sites in Madrid with Puerta del Sol. Pretty good pictures of the story.I also separated from the Royal Palace I saw on a Saturday afternoon. The next day I went to see the Real Madrid Stadium, the Santiago Bernabeu. We saw the museum and it was great. Apart we were eating the typical squid and potatoes that serve in the bars. Have a nice trip to Madrid. Thank you.
