The Templo de Debod is located at Parque del Oeste and was a gift from the Egyptian government to Spain. Spain has supported Egypt in building the Aswan dam. A process in which many Spanish labourers lost their lives. When the project was finished, Spain was given this temple out of the 4th century before Christ. In 1970 the temple was rebuild in Madrid. It was originally located in the area that was flooded near Abu Simbel.
De Templo de Debod is gelegen aan Parque del Oeste en was een geschenk van de Egyptische overheid aan Spanje voor het bouwen van de Aswan dam. Een project waarin vele Spanjaarden om het leven kwamen. Na oplevering van de dam, kreeg Spanje deze tempel uit de 4de eeuw voor Christus. In 1970 werd deze herbouwd in Madrid. Oorspronkelijk stond dit monument in het overstromingsgebied nabij Aboe Simbel.
