Do you know what the most tragic part is of this building? It is empty. The city doesn’t use it anymore. The interior needs to be renovated and currently it is a total wreck. The guard informed us they were recording a TV program but otherwise the building is abandoned. Do you know what a square metre of office space costs in this area and have you seen the size of this historical building?

Heel imposant, Filip. Prachtige ingenomen standpunten om te fotograferen. Zonde dat het leeg staat !
ReplyDeleteLie(f)s.
i always love buildings like these where pieces of art statutes are outside for people also to appreciate.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame, when building are not in use they tend to get run down very quickly.
ReplyDeleteI see much hope for this place....it's all just a desire away....I can imagine in it's glory days just how stunning it was! It could be again too!
ReplyDeleteIf they renovated the facade surely they have plans for the interior. I hope so. Such a beautiful building should be brought back to life. You take the most interesting shots of buildings.
ReplyDeleteZe zouden er woonruimtes in moeten maken.
ReplyDeleteI certainly hope that one day it will be fully restored to its former glory.
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredibly beautiful building...you're so right, it's tragic that it is not being used! Thanks so much for sharing these lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteOld buildings that are not in use saddens me...:(
:)
Too bad to see this building go to waste because the outside looks magnificent. I assume the cost to renovate the inside is too expensive to be occupied.
ReplyDeletesuch a pity that this building had been abandoned. the facade looks remarkably beautiful.
ReplyDeleteVery difficult to believe that this building is abandoned. Perhaps there was too much cost to keep it up and renovate it, but such a waste. Lovely architecture
