Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, the attractions

After our article of yesterday with the flowers and lakes, there was a blog friend (AVCr8teur) who asked us about the rides. We were already planning this but it is nicer to answer to a question of one of our loyal readers.

We would describe the park as a museum of old rides, with the occasional modern attraction. On the pictures you see antique airplanes for kids, a vintage Ferris wheel, a modern roller coaster called Demon, old-timer cars, peddling boats, animal carousel, a flying carpet and an ambiance picture of a pirate ship. I tried to take some pictures of the bumper cars riding in an interior mirror hall but this was not possible. Tivoli Gardens is a museum where kids are really having fun.

  1. I can actually see some ideas that Disney may have gotten. Looks like a great park for children... well perhaps that one tiny rollercoaster which looks as if it may require a moment of being upside down. very nice, and does look quite historical

  2. What fun; lovely photos! Great childhood memories here, I have never been to the particular park in your photos, but I have been to a couple of amusement parks in my area as a child and those rides were fun for me!

  9. Thank you for showing me the rides and mentioning my blog! That is a very unique ferris wheel with a clock? Wow, that rollercoaster has lots of twists and turns. I hope you had a chance to ride it. By the way, I recently read about the grand opening of Angry Birds Land in Finland. Have you heard of it?
