Platja de Sant Sebastia and Barceloneta, beach of Barcelona

We start our walk from the Torre de Sant Sebastia in the harbour. It is already evening, a bit dark and cloudy. Kristel checks her city guide to see in which direction we need to go. We are looking for a restaurant.

This beach location used to be an industrial zone. To facilitate the Olympic games of 1992, old factories made place for apartment blocks to house athletes. Now it is a nice public beach with shower facilities.

The promenade is one of the best places to go skating. A bit further on Barceloneta, you find trendy restaurants, bars and clubs. Next to the modern buildings like the copper construction of Pez y Esfera, you see art on the promenade.

  2. Three things stand out to me here today that I really love. The unusual building and it's shape, all these many many boats, I would think they get traffic jam! And the colorful sculpture of the man.
