General impressions of Monte Carlo on a rainy day, Monaco

It is hard to get a good impression of Monaco when it is raining all day long but we tried our best to explore the mini state built on a hill. With a map in our hand it is even difficult to find your way around because all the streets are on different height levels. The best way to go from on point to an other in under the ground and use stairs or elevators. What a strange construction.

We took a few shots of the Monaco marina with its super yachts. On the hill you see the two towers of the famous Monte Carlo Casino. We spend some time in the Royal Palace and Museum which was interesting and where we found shelter against the poring rain. It was however not allowed to take pictures in the palace.

In many places in Monaco you don’t feel welcome as a tourist, if there is one country in the world who doesn’t need the income from tourism, it is most likely this mini state for the ultra rich.

  2. My favorite today is number 7, all those boats right up against the houses, what f there was a big wave...houses ruined? The train station looks very clean. I believe this is where our actress Grace Kelly married the the ruler and became royalty.
