The Wat Mai Khao temple is not well known and they receive very few visitors. We discovered it on our way to Mai Khao beach. The temple is dedicated to meditation and the monks who live here don't interact with outsiders.
We were surprised to see that the temple was so well maintained with decorated facades and roof. The interior is just an open hall for meditation, the white walls show no items which could distract the monks. An interesting temple to make a short stop.

very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThese serpents look very foreboding and it is like they want to scare all visitors away. To me, this is a horrible place. Also, we are to interact with people and help them. Not live alone and scare people away.
ReplyDeleteMost stunning artwork, and the trees and shrubs especially in the second photo are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteToch een heel aparte levenswijze, Filip...
