Modern bridge architecture of Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur

Taking a river cruise gave us the opportunity to admire the Putrajaya modern bridges from close by. Most of them are steel bridges in different shapes like a sail boat or symmetrical guitar shafts connecting the two banks. A pedestrian bridge resembled the wings of a butterfly.

We particularly like the Jambatan Seri Saujana bridge because of its more classic appearance. It is an arched bridge with four towers and on each side artistic staircases. The decorations of the bridge are lovely and if someone would claim it is located in an old European city, nobody would contest it.
