Swiss International Dance Festival, Chiasso

This was our first World Ranking competition since two months. We registered for the WDSF Senior I standard in Chiasso, assuming to dance the Swiss International Dance Festival with couples from all over Europe. Since Chiasso is on the Italian border, almost all couples came from Italy. Italy is the strongest senior standard ballroom country in the world.

We saw this competition as preparation for our next dancing season and knew it would be difficult. Our goal was to focus on technique and to put our latest dance lessons into practice. After completing five dances, we were pleased with the quality. To our surprise we even qualified for the next round. This round was even better but our Swiss competition ended there. We are ready for Paris next week.
