Walking in the Alps, Bürglalm from the village of Dienten

We were very lucky with the weather on our Austria trip in Dienten. The sun was shining and we had clear views on the mountains. The first little hike we write about is possible for people of all ages, it is very easy. You take the Bürglalmbahn, a four chair elevator in Dienten, up to an altitude of 1652 metres. Arriving at the top, you walk to the right towards the Bürglalm, a 15 minutes walk. From the chalet terrace you enjoy the view with a beer and a snack. I am particularly happy with my picture of the cow approaching the drink area with the Hochkönig mountain in the background.

  24. So beautiful it makes me wish I was there for the beer and snack looking out at this awesome scenery. I also really like the perspective that you have captured of this first cow... looking at you in such a bovine manner. All she needs is a huge cowbell!
