Churches in the old town of Tallinn

Yesterday, we published an article about the Alexander Nevski cathedral which is the most famous church of Tallinn. We didn’t want to write something about each church because there are just so many of them in this small city. We counted 12 churches on just a few square kilometres. We added some photo impressions.

  1. Small correction: the 'church at town hall square' isn't actually a church but town hall (rathaus).

  3. Really like your photos. I get great pleasure viewing them.
The pansies we grow in autumn time down here, they stay in flower through winter them begin to grow again in spring, but in summer they get powdery mildew, so are mostly taken out and disposed of...they have such lovely faces :)

  8. So many large and different looking churches in this place. I wonder if this means more people in this area go to church than in other places with less churches? It would be interesting to know, but we probably never will.

  13. I like the blend of old and new architecture in the distance. The red roof tops give it a distinctive skyline.

Mooie reeks.
