The main court of Rostock, Oberlandesgericht

This court house in Rostock is located next to the “Steintor” and is really impressive with its red façade. The architectural style is a combination of Baroque and Gothic, the building on just over 100 years old. The weapon shield and the statues are eye catchers. Underneath the arches and columns you see carved images of bulls and eagles. The building looks well maintained.

  3. Why do we not produce that lovely brickwork today? If they could make such fine buildings over 100 years ago we should be able to produce the same exquisite work today.

  6. Stunning again! The outsides of these buildings, and churches that you travel to are so lovely on the outside, how do you ever have time to go inside too? I'd be so busy taking up so many photos outside! Very lovely art!

  16. I would never have guessed the building is just 100 years old. It is probably one of the "modern" buildings in the area.

  17. Love the architecture of this gorgeous building, and it looks so well cared for.... guess it is because it is so 'young". So amazing that it must fit right in with all of the much older buildings!
