The Admiralty Arch and a spring walk in St. James Park, London

On my way to St. James Park, I pass by the 100 year old Admiralty Arch which was built in a half moon shape. The gates are gigantic and in perfect state. On both sides of The Mall, traffic is passing under the arch. Looking left I see the tower of the Ministry of Defence. Before entering the park, I take a picture of the Household Cavalry Museum. The London Eye is towering above the roofs of the historical monument.

It was a sunny afternoon and the birds were everywhere. Squirrels played in the flower beds. Next to the park lake stands the Duck Island Cottage, a Swiss chalet for the park bird keeper. It was built in 1841 and still exists.

  8. My favorite pictures are the last four. Does the bird keeper still live in this place? Does anyone? It is so sweet, like out of a fairy tale. Is the ferris wheel always there?
