Palace Noordeinde and King Willem I, The Hague

In the city centre of The Hague, you find the palace of Noordeinde and the statue of King Willem I. This was the Royal residence until 1940 and of the first King of The Netherlands. He was called King of Orange. Now the palace is the office of the Royal family. The new King of The Netherlands will be crowned on April 30 and his name is King Willem-Alexander.

The palace looks well maintained and I particularly liked the wooden window blinds, the gate and the park. You have to do some effort to reach the park because it is located at the back and for that you need to cross a few streets. I imagine that the park must be beautiful when covered with summer flowers.

  9. These wooden shutters are very interesting. I like how the beautiful part of it is in view for the person inside when they are closed. Nice perspective. Also quite a gate with the crown on it
