The modern city of lights, Berlin by night

The ultimate modern district of Berlin can be found at Postzdamer Platz. This is an area you need to visit at night or late evening. The lights of the Sony Building are fantastic. The inner square of the Sony Building looks like a purple space ship coming down to earth.

Also other parts of the city shine bright at night. Even the cars or the imitation Thai Tuk Tuks work with light effects. The monuments like the Brandenburgertor and the Reichstag are lid up. Modern shops like Saturn and the television tower on Aexanderplatz make you feel as if you are in a different world.

  4. Wonderful photos Filip! I love the Sony Center, it´s a very special architecture and a challenge for every photographer, day and night. Oh I also love the Brandenburger Tor. And the Fernsehturm. I made a nice photo from a band in front of Galeria Kaufhof and bought a monopod at this Saturn market. And.... I better stop now :-)

  6. Lots of lovely night time lighting shots but I can't help thinking that it does seem a waste of energy.

  11. What gorgeous buildings and architecture - I loved seeing your images. Thanks so much for sharing them! I visited Berlin when I was 19 and loved the city so much - it's been 33 years! The Berlin Wall was still up, and to this day I still have my Checkpoint Charlie t-shirt.
