The town of Selçuk, relatively unknown but visited by many tourists

Near Izmir and Kusadasi you find the small town of Selçuk. We had never heard of it but it is visited by many tourists because of the Museum of Ephesus in the city centre. The historical site of Ephesus with its library as one of the world wonders is less than 2km from town. So almost everyone who visits Ephesus also drives along or visits this town. You find here the ruins of Ottomans castle, several Mosques, a fortress, and many piece of art in the street. Enjoy the pictures.

  4. We were there too. Please explain your lovely photos. What are they of? Why has that poor fellow had his head chopped in half and been repaired with black duck tape?

  5. For a small town, it has some big structures. I can see why people stop here to enjoy them.
