Our first Ballroom competition since three months, Oldenzaal

At the “Dance and Party centre Rouwhorst” in Oldenzaal we danced our first ballroom competition since July. It was the “Big Price of Twente 2011” and our first national competition in the B-class adults. The dancers of this dance school are very privileged to dance in such a nice ballroom hall. We had no expectations regarding the result since we didn’t dance for a while and we changed our programs of the Quickstep and the Tango. In the first round we received enough markings to go directly to the final. The end result of the competition was place 6 out of 9 couples. A bit disappointing but we were pleased to have our new programs a under control on a big competition floor. It was good to see so many friends back in Oldenzaal, we had fun. Thanks to Herman Lak for the coaching after each round.

In het “Dans- en Partycentrum Rouwhorst” te Oldenzaal hebben we onze eerste Ballroom competitie gedanst sinds juli. Het was de “Grote Prijs van Twente 2011” en onze eerste nationale competitie in de B-klasse adults. De dansers in deze dansschool mogen zeer blij zijn in een zo’n mooie dansschool te kunnen dansen. We hadden echter geen verwachtingen voor ons resultaat daar het een tijdje geleden was sinds de vorige competitie en we hebben ook onze programma’s van de Quickstep en de Tango gewijzigd. In de eerste ronde behaalden we genoeg crossen voor een rechtstreekse plaats in de finale. We eindigen op plaats 6 van 9 paren. Een beetje teleurstellend maar we waren blij dat we onze programma’s toch onder controle hadden op een grote wedstrijdvloer. Het was leuk vele van onze vrienden terug te zien in Oldenzaal. Hartelijk dank aan Herman Lak voor de begeleiding en coaching na iedere ronde.
