Het Rudolfinum werd gebouwd in 1875 en is een voorbeeld van Renaissance architectuur. Het wordt gebruikt als concertgebouw zoals je kan zien op het publiciteitsdoek van het Tsjechische filmharmonica orkest. Gedurende de twee Wereldoorlogen was het echter de zetel van het parlement. Het gebouw is enorm groot met wondermooie balkons, galerijen en sierlijke lantaarns. Voor mij waren de standbeelden het meest indrukwekkend..

What a serious building, but I guess it would make a fine opera house. I can see all the ladies in their formal dresses with men in tuxedos coming up those steps.
