Top restaurant Alcron in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Prague

There are only two restaurants in Prague who have been awarded one Michelin Star. The Alcron restaurant is one of them and this one attracted me the most. The interior is very warm and the small restaurant is in the shape of a half circle. The wall paintings represent dancers on the New York jazz scene.

The service was very good and the food of excellent quality. They didn’t have a degustation menu but you could compile your own menu with individual dishes from the card at a fixed price. This is an excellent concept that we have not seen before. I am a little bit disappointed of the quality of my pictures because the food presentation was very good and this is not always reflected in the photos. Congratulations to the Radisson Hotel for such an excellent restaurant and concept. The only tip I could give is to have more wines by the glass and optimise your wine selection by each dish.

  3. PS: if your Hindu temple is being built by the BAPS Swaminaraya group, I'm sure it will go ahead. They apparently have plenty of money as they are building temples around the world. They have quite a few in N America and another one in slated to open in Chicago soon. It's a pretty powerful sect of Hinduism, I think.

  6. If it looked even better than these pictures, than that is quite something. And I see the salmon is even wild and they have truffles! Quite a feat, considering it is in a hotel!!!!

  8. My daughter was there again just a couple years ago and when she came back home she said most of the food she ate there was just like the way I cook! :) It was a very nice compliment, although I can just imagine they have some very talented cooks there! I do like using spices, even though in Minnesota, they are known more for a blander way of cooking here! Thanks for another lovely post!
