The public transport in Munich is unbelievable, clean, save, efficient and they even have beautiful subway stations. The orange curved tunnels are the underground at the Marienplatz. Most trains are modern but some old vehicles are still in use. All seats are clean and people respectful, there are no security issues. At stations like Königsplatz, you see wall paintings or art from the museums above. If you are travelling with friends or family you can buy a Partnerkarte for up to five people. The public transport is not expensive.

So very true, this is a lovely spot! Public transportation is usually always the better value for your money, and I really wish Minneapolis would offer more of it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful architecture, everything clean and tidy. Excellent. Even more with art around.
ReplyDeleteZo vreemd dat wij het bijzonder vinden dat openbaar vervoer netjes en schoon is. Vergelijk dit eens met de Amsterdamse metro...
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful and clean subway. I love the top image.
ReplyDeleteIn Helsinki there is only one metro - east from the centrum. Now it will be continued to the west. Maybe in 2025 it comes to my city district. It costs a lot and there are great conversations.
Hugs.
I have been to Munich, but I never took the public transport. It looks really nice and clean. What I would expect in a major German city. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Oh my goodness, this place looks like an art museum!!!!! Too bad that our New York subways are not attractive and have a bad reputation, why can't they be more like this...
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing looking trains with the art on them. Makes traveling by subway look very pleasant. Nothing like Chicago where I am originally from. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI like the curved rails, really important for some support for those who do not find a seat inside the metro car. I dont like ours which are belt-like hanging from the car ceiling which is not reachable by some especially the elderly!
ReplyDeletethe artwork there is a very nice touch. :)
ReplyDeletesuch a beautiful, modern and clean subway station. i like to check out subways when traveling to foreign lands too.
ReplyDeleteI like the perspective of the photos. Good pic of Kristal, too. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeletethat's one of a kind, certainly, not only very clean, but the artwork is really amazing.
ReplyDeleteWat kan het toch een verschil uit maken van waar je bent, dit is echt super gaaf om te zien en zo schoon! Groetjes Cristien.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen such wonderful train interiors! Amazing. The complete opposite to trains I have traveled on in India years ago.
ReplyDeleteJa, dat ziet er mooi en proper uit Filip.
