Kwinten De Paepe, Young top Chef of the year, Restaurant Trente, Leuven

The famous GaultMillau guide has awarded Chef Kwinten De Paepe the title of “Flanders Young Top Chef 2011”. His restaurant Trente in the Muntstraat in Leuven also received a score of 15/20 in the guide which is very high. If you want to eat in the culinary temple, reservations are required. The restaurant has no a la carte menu and you have to go for one menu set of 3, 4 or 5 courses. The limited choice is a disadvantage but we have to compliment the Chef and the sommelier, all food creations were fantastic and the wine pairing very good.

  3. I have been having a fit with blogger today, not being able to see some people's pictures! The only ones here I am able to see are the first and the chicken with the egg yolks, how inventive! I hope it is fixed tomorrow!

Glad you mentioned your issues with pictures on Blogger, because I had the same problem earlier today. Thankfully it is working for me now. I cleared out my cache and the photos are loading fine now.

  10. Yum, yum! So glad it's soon dinnertime here in CO, though all we're having is tuna salad. Your photos do honor to the chief and food - I'll choose the chicken and hte beets for sure. Kristal is wearing my favorite - red - and looks lovely.

  11. That certainly looks like an elegant meal. I’d love to go and try all these fancy dishes – but, it’s a bit too far for me, so I enjoy the meal “virtually.” Thanks.
